Clopay has expanded its commercial overhead sectional garage door line, introducing several new three-layer insulated WindCode W2 models up to 14’2” wide.
The new W2 doors were created to address the substantial growth in projects classified as “Exposure C”, and increased code enforcement of wind load doors installed inland.
Clopay WindCode is a unique ID program to help builders, architects and specifiers select the right garage door for high wind and hurricane prone regions based on a number of factors including local building codes, MPH, and mean roof height.
The doors are identified by "W" designations on a rating scale from W1 to W9. The higher the "W" rating, the stronger the door.
All Clopay WindCode garage doors are designed and tested to comply with wind load requirements of local, state, and national building codes.
The new W2 models have been tested to meet the “Exposure C” design pressure of +18/-20 PSF. The doors require fewer horizontal reinforcement struts, reducing installation time and labor cost for the dealer.
