"Great new look at a good price"

The door is beautiful. We love the realistic wood grain on this steel door. Larger windows brighten the interior. Our prior door was a Clopay, which was working fine after over 20 years. We primarily got a new door to improve the look of the house, which this does.

I bought a 18x7 foot gallery dark oak door with 4 long windows and upgraded hardware because of the door width. Very satisfied with my purchase. Lots of complements from various neighbors. It definitely gives the house a upscale look .

"Wonderful Door but I Pick Nits"

Great door. Quiet, secure, sturdy. Minir gripe: tgere is a horizontal grain pattern repeat approx. every two feet. They avoid direct vertical repeat by placing it on a bias. Most would not notice, but I work wood when I can. They do, however, nail grain direction very well.

Our new construction build is a garage apartment, which means the garage doors are the focal point of the front fascade and they needed to look awesome (without breaking the budget). Gallery series doors turned out to be the perfect fit. We chose the Ultra Grain Dark Oak color because we loved the wood grain look, and the finish is incredibly realistic. You would really have to know what you're looking for to tell this isn't a wood door from 5ft away. We added SQ22 windows and they definitely complete the look of the door while letting natural light into the garage. We also went with a 3-layer insulated door (R-13) because the garage will be a conditioned space, and as a bonus the insulation makes the panels really stiff and solid. Overall, highly recommend these doors!

"Well built"

Seems to be well built. Had issues with extended build lead time. And 2 panels had manufactured defects. Still waiting on replacement panels. Well insulated. Dampens noises from outside along with keeping it warmer inside the garage.(it came in late December) Good appearance. Have to wait for summer months to see how well it holds up and dampens higher temperatures outside.

"Clopay garage door upgrade"

WE love the new garage door , it runs smooth and looks great, complimented of new entry door very nicely and completed the new street look we were trying to achieve. It replaced a heavy old composite uninsulated builders door and was a huge upgrade over the original.

I am very pleased with the door. It looks great. The quality of construction is the best I have seen, based on the 4 garage doors I have installed. There was a 3' wide indentation on the inside of the door when it was delivered. Home Depot offered a small discount to accept as it.

"Love These Doors"

I am so happy with my new doors. I am very pleased with their quietness and the insulation R factor. Are these doors replaced 45 year old doors and wow what a difference. My garage used to be nearly as cold or as hot as the outside. It was 17° here this morning and my garage was 45°. Things used to freeze in my garage, not anymore. I would purchase these doors again and would recommend them to anyone looking to update or install new garage doors. I have an attached garage, you can’t even hear them opening from inside the house which is wonderful considering I could be at the farthest point away from them before and know that they were opening. And thank you Clopay for a wonderful affordable product.

"Best Door Ever"

We liked the neighbors door so much we had to get one, "the garage door is the smile of your home". Installation was very well explained and the videos made it comfortable to install ourselves.This is our 4th garage door in various homes and by far the best! We plan on cooling the garage and the insulation at 18 is more than expected.

"Couldn't be happier"

We are very happy with our new garage doors. They match our house perfectly. I have noticed that the temperature in my garage, when it was 32 degrees outside, was 10 degrees warmer according to the thermometer. We have had the doors for a few weeks and they appear to be of good quality. We expect many years of excellent service and curb appeal from our Clopay doors!

"Wrong Windows"

After 3 months of waiting and a nice chunk of $$, I get my new door with wrong windows. Of course it's the "suppliers" fault. Wanted insulated double pane obscure glass , receive clear single pane uninsulated windows.Installer missed the fact I wanted obscure glass and it's my fault I didn't catch their mistake.New window section has to be ordered to get the insulated glass but since I did't catch the error I need to pay more for the obscure glass.You would think they would correct their error and not charge more money for the inconvenience alone. Window grids are cheap looking and flimsy. Door is black and I can see white all along the edges of the grids.Looks like white pieces of string hanging off. It's thin pieces of white plastic that wasn't trimmed properly and the edges were not painted.

"Cloplay Gallery Garage Doors"

I am very impressed by the construction and appearance of the wood grain doors. They resemble real wood so well that you have to get up close to see they are metal. The doors are extremely durable yet light weight and fit the door opening perfectly.

"Not quite worth the price"

The door is very ascteticaly pleasing. Construction of doors and hardware seems sound, only provides one strut for a 16 foot insulated door, seems meek, so had to purchase 2nd one seperate for $25.00, does not include the operator reinforcement bracket for automatic door $17.00 additional, had to purchase separately. The trim for the windows for this door seem flimsey and probably won't stand up to wind and inclement weather, the grids just kinda lay in the frame on outside of window not set too firmly. The accents included were faux handles with no faux hinges...bought seperately...total cost of door minus install was $1900.00

"We are very pleased with our new door."

We selected this door primarily for its R-value rating of 18.4. Our garage door faces more or less west and gets the full afternoon sun. The garage used to heat up rapidly in the sun with the 35 year old steel door that was only insulated with an aftermarket pad. The installer did a great job when he installed the weatherstrip that comes with the door and adjusted the door so it sels on the left, top and right sides. The door uses a very generously sized weatherstrip on the lower edge. This door is well air sealed. The outer and inner steel skins are thermally isolated from each other. That helps greatly with the insulation. The inner skin of the door remains cool to the touch even with the hot summer sun beating on the exterior. It is slightly warmer where one door panel abuts the panel above or below. This is a huge improvement over the old door. Both the inside and outside steel door panels have a superb finish coating. The only thing I wish we had done differently would be to have bought this door years ago. I am looking forward to winter as I know the garage will be much warmer then.

"Beautiful ironwork if you can see it"

Extremely happy with the looks of the door only after adding a light reflective plastic that provides the light to see the ironwork. First photo shows two windows- the left is without the backlight, the right has the plastic with glitter paint that provides some backlight (barely changes the brightness in the garage).

"Some Alignment Issues at First, So Far So Good"

The garage doors look great and so far work well. We had some track alignment issues at first, but they came out and fixed it as it was covered under their 1 year warranty. We'll see how well they do past the 1 year warranty... Also this review asked me to include the type of insulation and I have no clue, my quote doesn't say. So I'm just selecting one.

"Great value, great install, oustanding product!"

Great door. We love it, and our neighbors love it too. In fact, one of our neighbors is going to order one for her house. Installation took several months, why was annoying, nut understandable b/c we were in the middle of COVID-19, and procurement and supply chains were effected. However, the installers were great. Cleaned up very well, unlike the company we had install a new HVAC system.

"Clopay Garage Doors - Never Again"

Issue 1) Out of the 8 panels received for two garage doors, one was damaged and could not be used. We waited 4-6 weeks for the new panel which again arrived damaged as well. Ended up installing the damaged panel after swapping it with the top panel so it wouldn't interfere with other panels. Issue 2) Panels not trimmed accurately. I had to trim off insulation protruding from panel ends. Issue 3) Panel metal fronts and backs not accurately lined up resulting in parallelogram rather than rectangular top down alignment. Issue 4) Panel end caps (installer has to attach to panels) are predrilled, however, the predrilled holes did not line up so we had to widen or elongate many of the holes so we could utilize the threaded hole plates of the panels.

"Carriage style garrage doors."

Cloplay, customer service was great ordered 2 7x9 garage doors carriage style with windows. The look and quality was what i expected. One of the doors was found to have broken glass, but home depot and cloplay worked together to get me a new upper section with glass It had arrived broken as well but the glass the was broken on the opposite side. So i switched the window assembly and finished my install. I added garage door oppeners and all is working great. My Wife and i are happy with our purchase. Thank you for working with us cloplay.

We are extremely pleased with the new track with quiet rubber rollers that came with the door, a marked improvement from what was replaced. So pleased with our garage door. Easy order! We had them install to guarantee the door measurements since this was a custom door to fit a non standard garage door opening. The company made appointment to double check our measurements and then later to install. The hardest part was the wait approx 8 weeks but well worth it! The door is really nice looking and a VERY sound and sturdy. Door does not make noise when we open it even. The install was perfect and installer was friendly. Love this custom door worth the money and wait. Highly recommend.

We purchased 2 matching doors for our house (16ft and 8ft). They are Good Looking Doors, we got the privacy glass in the top section, the handles, and the upgraded track and hardware. I only wish they sold matching paint, we later purchased a walk in door, and we tried to match the paint color as close as possibile, but it is still slightly off.

Love our new garage doors. We got the Walnut wood finish - they really look like wood from the street and are really beautiful. Windows let in lots of light. Very pleased with the installation. Our garage is detached from the house, so we really weren't overly concerned with the R-Value and went with the lowest to save some dollars. Very happy with these doors and wood recommend if you are trying to get that wood look without the maintenance.

The door looks amazing from the outside. The upgraded hardware make for quiet and smooth opening and closing. Overall, I’m very pleased with my new garage door.

The garage door was very beautiful and nice quality. However, there were many missing parts and the garage door springs were not strong enough for the door. The door was too heavy for the spring that came with the door. Clopay stated the door weight 325 and it was closer to 400. Had to buy different springs an additional $500 dollar. Not happy about that but the door it’s self nice and good quality. I give it three stars.

We had been discussing adding a garage door to enclose our carport for several years. When we finally decided to do so, we found the Clopay customization program on the Home Depot website. After entering the data, we visited the local Home Depot to order our door. The whole experience was very professional and fast. The Gallery door from Clopay exceeded our expectations. It is exactly as shown on the website and is beautiful. We have received several comments already on how beautiful it is and how it really makes our house look so much better.

It's been 8 months and still in love with our clopay gallery collection garage doors! It's exactly what we wanted for our modern farmhouse, a clean timeless look. Faux wood that looks like the real deal but low maintenance and long lasting. Blown away by their customer service. I was having a hard time deciding if I wanted to install the decorative hardware or not. They reached out to me and connected me with other customers on instagram, who installed the same garage doors, to help me decide. Recommended if my home had more rustic details, hardware could enhance it. Decided to leave off the hardware for a more modern look. It's really a personal preference. The doors look amazing with the hardware and without! There's so many design decisions you have to make during a build or remodel. I wanted to write this review because seeing real pictures of peoples' homes helped me make my decision. I am so happy with this product! It's been 8 months and still in love with our clopay gallery collection garage doors! It's exactly what we wanted for our modern farmhouse, a clean timeless look. Faux wood that looks like the real deal but low maintenance and long lasting. Blown away by their customer service. I was having a hard time deciding if I wanted to install the decorative hardware or not. They reached out to me and connected me with other customers on instagram, who installed the same garage doors, to help me decide. Recommended if my home had more rustic details, hardware could enhance it. Decided to leave off the hardware for a more modern look. It's really a personal preference. The doors look amazing with the hardware and without! There's so many design decisions you have to make during a build or remodel. I wanted to write this review because seeing real pictures of peoples' homes helped me make my decision. I am so happy with this product! We have 3 Gallery doors and are extremely happy with our purchase! We received comments all the time that people love our wood doors- they don’t even believe they are steal until they touch them! Ohio has all the weather extremes, and we are confident our doors will stand the test of time!

"Beautiful garage door"

Even though it is beautiful, my garage is freezing cold, when you touch the door on the inside, it really cold. When first installed just last fall it was whisper quite. As soon as the weather got cold in STL it is crazy noisy.

"Window Inserts Cheap"

Purchased new home with Clopay Gallery door. Window grid insert tabs break easily. Contacted Clopay to determine where I can purchase inserts to replace broken grids. I'm told no replacement parts available. Clopay technical support responded that replacing entire top section of garage door is least expensive option to resolve broken window grid issue. Why not parts available to service garage door in a cost effective manner!

"So far great garage door!"

Have only had door for 5 days but so far a great addation to our house. Should have changed it years ago. Added window which lets so much light in the garage and the sound from out side and noise when opening and closing reduction is great.

We are very happy with our new garage door from Clopay. The Gallery carriage style door really adds a great look and charm to our detached garage. This is the style and look we wanted and at a very reasonable price. The Hunter Door, local Cloplay dealer was also very easy to deal with during the entire process.
