Clopay showcased two innovative residential aluminum and glass doors at the 2025 International Builders’ Show (IBS) that have builders, remodelers and architects rethinking garage door design and functionality: the VertiStack® Avante®, a unique compact vertical stacking door, and an Avante® Sleek door with smart film technology that switches between clear and opaque glass.
Named IBS “Best in Show” 2025 award winner, the VertiStack Avante stacks panel sections on the wall above the door opening, eliminating the need for overhead tracks, exposed hinges, or cable to deliver a clean, modern aesthetic and maximize usable ceiling space and daylight. The judges felt that this fresh take on traditional garage doors offers updated architectural appeal, while adding significant overhead storage space, and a seamless transition between indoors and outside.
Customizable to fit openings up to 18’ wide and 10’ tall, the VertiStack Avante is ideal for residential garages, workshops and barns. Multiple glass options give owners the flexibility to control natural light and privacy, and the frame comes in many colors.
Clopay’s VertiStack Avante doors are featured on The New American Home 2025, the official IBS showcase home.Clopay also offered a sneak peek of a modern Avante Sleek aluminum and glass garage door that gives users the option to change the privacy setting of their garage door glass via remote control.
Many homeowners are now using the garage as additional living space and choosing full-view garage doors to increase natural light and indoor-outdoor connections. Having the ability to instantly switch from clear to opaque glass provides the best of both worlds: increased curb appeal and natural light during the day, and privacy and security at night or when you are away. The door will be available later this year.

A Canyon Ridge® 5-Layer Carriage House faux wood door in a new “Espresso” stain finish. Available in 15 designs, the Canyon Ridge offers the look and feel of a real wood door without the upkeep. It is constructed of a moisture- and UV-resistant composite material molded from various wood species to replicate the grain pattern and texture. An energy-efficient, polyurethane foam insulated steel core provides a 20.4 R-value.

Statement-making and sophisticated, the Canyon Ridge Modern garage door combines realistic wood textures with key elements of contemporary architecture: clean, horizontal lines with mid-century appeal, sleek windows and metallic accents. Bridgeport™ Steel with carriage house designs coming in 2025.
The Bridgeport Steel recessed panel garage door with new carriage house designs and Midnight Gray glass windows will be available later this year.
Bridgeport Steel offers clean, simple lines and symmetry in a durable, low-maintenance steel construction. It comes in an extended width panel design with optional windows and decorative hardware in 10 standard paint colors and four Ultra-Grain® wood-look finishes.
