Attendees at the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design 2025 (AIA25) that visited the Clopay Corporation booth on June 4-7 caught a sneak peek of the VertiStack® Avante® Door that featured the upcoming C-Power™ Technology. Also showcased were Canyon Ridge® 5-Layer Carriage House doors in the fresh "Espresso" finish, alongside other popular residential and commercial offerings.

C-Power™ Technology
Clopay's C-Power Technology, first presented at the 2025 International Builders’ Show (IBS), features smart film for on-demand privacy. This innovation makes window panels transition between transparent and opaque states with the simple push of a button.
Offering enhanced curb appeal and abundant natural light, C-Power Technology offers an added layer of privacy and security. This switchable glass technology expands the possibilities for how homeowners utilize their garage space. The C-Power Technology feature is slated for release later this year.
Canyon Ridge® Modern with Metal Inlays
Canyon Ridge Modern Doors are now available with metal inlays, incorporating sleek aluminum strips for a design-forward look. A balance of natural-looking wood grain, bold windows, and metal accents channels a classic, mid-century aesthetic.
Because it’s made with composite materials, Canyon Ridge Modern is low-maintenance and durable. The door is available in a variety of colors and stains, hardware, and glazing options.
Canyon Ridge® 5-Layer Carriage House with Espresso Finish
Clopay is expanding the availability of the Espresso stain finish to include the Canyon Ridge 5-Layer Door.
This stunning new color option elevates curb appeal with deep, rich browns and black undertones. Espresso is also available on Modern Steel™ Ultra-Grain® Plank and Canyon Ridge Chevron.
Reserve® Wood Custom
Clopay put a work of “heart” on display with the Reserve Wood Custom Door. The Light Cedar door showcased a horizontal slat design with combined Ebony and Clear stain finishes, complemented by slim Midnight Gray windows.

VertiStack® Avante®
A homeowner's dream: the VertiStack Avante Door is a space-saving stacking door that eliminates the need for overhead tracks and cables. The design frees up the ceiling, offering extra storage space or room for lighting. The doors have contemporary full-view windows to welcome natural light and give your space an indoor/outdoor vibe.
Commercial Products and Options for Business Owners
Counter Fire Door
Offering up to three hours of fire protection, the Counter Fire Door features a seamlessly sleek design. Equipped with an in-tube hand crank, this counter door boasts the smallest footprint in its class.
The Counter Fire Door can be used in counter and full-height openings to contain fires and prevent them from spreading. Counter Fire Doors are available with an optional integral frame and sill backed by a UL Label for 1.5 hours of protection.
SmokeShield® Elevator Smoke Curtain
Clopay is known for its award-winning smoke and fire products, and SmokeShield Elevator is no exception. Designed for commercial multi-story buildings with elevators, the door activates on alarm, creating a barrier between the hoistway (elevator shaft) and the rest of the building, mitigating the spread of smoke and hot gases.
SmokeShield® Fabric Smoke and Fire
This fabric fire curtain allows designers to eliminate the International Building Code (IBC) elevator lobby requirement. Using Clopay’s patented GuideLock™ technology to seal the curtain within the guide channels, the curtain stops smoke and fire in its tracks, reducing the need for expensive smoke extraction systems.
VertiStack® Clear
The VertiStack Clear Door is designed exclusively for commercial buildings. Its popular stacking functionality opens up the fifth wall (ceiling) for HVAC systems and lets designers get creative with statement lighting and architectural features.
Visionaire® MicroCoil® Grille
Made for retail spaces and storefronts, this low-headroom grille embodies brawn and beauty. Thanks to durable 304 stainless steel links, the curtain can be customized in Brick or Straight designs in aluminum or stainless finishes.
Clopay Blueprints & Brews Boston Happy Hour Event Draws Enthusiasm
Clopay Corporation hosted an interactive design activity inspired by Boston's architecture. While enjoying local beers, guests participated in a quick and captivating architectural drawing competition. Participants received prompts based on famous Boston landmarks, combined with Clopay rolling and sectional doors. Designers used white pencils on blue napkins to sketch imaginative designs. Many participants enjoyed the challenge so much that they played multiple rounds until the event concluded. Winners received architectural lightboxes and a chance to win an iPad Mini. The grand prize was a custom mid-century modern illustration of the winner’s chosen project.
Adrienne Reitz, Clopay Corporation's director of marketing communications, describes Blueprints & Brews as an event that reflected Boston's inventive energy and sense of community. According to Reitz, "This event celebrated hands-on innovation, the value of connection, and the artistry of design."
