For over 30 years, Southern Living has partnered with talented builders, architects, and designers to build custom houses that celebrate the Southern lifestyle and the latest innovations in home design. Clopay is proud to sponsor the 2023 Idea House, located just outside of Nashville, Tenn., and now open for tours.
Situated on more than 60 acres of rolling country hills, the modern farmhouse is designed to maximize the scenic views with spacious open-air balconies and a backyard party barn primed for entertaining.
The home’s three-car garage is dressed up with our new Canyon Ridge Chevron doors, custom painted Sherwin Williams “Rushing River” to match the muted green exterior.
The Canyon Ridge door looks like real wood but is actually a weather-resistant faux wood composite material that won’t rot, warp or crack. The doors can be painted or stained and come in a number of styles: Chevron, Carriage House, Modern and Louver.
There are plenty of features to love on this Idea House but from the comments we’ve seen on social media, the party barn is a hands down favorite.
Avante door with Bronze aluminum frame and clear insulated glass panels.
Designed to look like a rustic barn with an authentic cupola, the detached structure features two Avante glass garage doors that open up to the pool and patio area. Inside is a mini kitchen, a dining table and a lounge area all situated to enjoy the stunning landscape.
