Clopay® Adds Vertical Slats Design to Canyon Ridge® Modern Series
October 23, 2026
Clopay Corporation, North America’s largest manufacturer of residential and commercial garage doors, has expanded its Canyon Ridge Modern with a new Vertical Slats design.
Featuring one-inch-wide vertical slats, realistic Mahogany woodgrain texture and an optional contrasting groove treatment, the new door adds a distinctive contemporary look to one of the home’s most prominent exterior features.
“Vertical lines are making a statement throughout residential design, from fluted cabinetry and accent walls to entry doors and exterior cladding. Our new Vertical Slats design extends this popular motif to the garage door, giving homeowners and design professionals another way to add clean lines, dimension and texture to a home’s exterior while complementing a variety of architectural styles,” said Justin Evans, Clopay senior vice president of residential marketing.
Two Finish Options. Two Distinct Looks.
Clopay’s Vertical Slats garage door features Mahogany composite cladding that can be painted or stained to coordinate with a home’s exterior colors and materials.
A solid finish creates a clean, uniform appearance, while the optional Shadowline™ treatment adds contrasting black accents to the recessed grooves between the slats, emphasizing the vertical pattern with crisp definition and added depth. The choice is a subtle, seamless look or a bolder visual statement.
Natural Wood Character. Less Maintenance.
Clopay’s Canyon Ridge Modern series pairs contemporary, mid-century-inspired styling with the practical benefits of faux wood composite construction. Molded from real Mahogany wood pieces to capture the look and feel of natural wood, the composite cladding resists rot and weathering and requires less maintenance than traditional wood.
A two-inch thick polyurethane foam insulated steel core delivers an 20.4 R-value to help reduce noise and support year-round comfort inside the garage.
With its clean linear profile, realistic wood appearance and customizable finishes, the Canyon Ridge Modern Vertical Slats garage door offers a fresh way to enhance curb appeal while delivering the durability and performance benefits of faux wood composite construction.
