Do not buy these doors! I initially loved these doors but now the composite material is coming loose and falling off. Clopay and installer say that it cannot be repaired and I need to buy replacement doors.

"I hit the Trifecta!"
Our home was built in 1978 and still had the 3 original wooden garage doors and hardware. They looked ok, but 2 of the doors were mounted tandem to one opener. They were so noisy that we were concerned we woke up our neighbors if we came home late. They required regular maintenance, were uninsulated and did not seal well. Cables and springs broke multiple times. One spring repair required a trip to the emergency room for me. We finally contacted Doorman, our local Clopay dealer for an estimate. I went to their showroom and I could not believe how beautiful and quiet these doors are compared to ours. We looked at other manufacturers doors, but nothing came close to the Canyon Ridge 4 layer door in terms of quality or appearance. We ordered 3 Clopay doors and had our house painted with complimentary colors to match the new doors. When they arrived and were installed in January, we could not believe the difference. I began looking for excuses to open and close the garage. Sometimes I would just open one for no other reason than to marvel at the improvement to our home. My wife admitted that she would just sit in her car in the driveway for a couple minutes to look at them before she drove into the garage. The openers are so quiet you barely hear them, even in the garage. The motion sensor lights are very convenient. And the app for my phone, which allows me to monitor and control the doors remotely, was an unexpected surprise. I cannot state strongly enough how much this investment improved the livability of our home. Thank you

We like the doors. They are very unique and look nice on our house. However, there was a big error with processing our order. Between Home Depot, Clopay and Overhead door, our order for $14,000 got lost. The reason, our order was found after 5 weeks is because we called to follow up on the installation since it was due. If we don't call, our doors would still not be installed. The error was rectified and our doors got installed after 5 months. Home Depot was very professional and apologized for the mistake and gave us a discount after everything got settled. This error does not impact the quality of the doors so the rating is still at 5 stars.

We plan on completing the look of our detached garage to look like a carriage house to go with our century home. One handle was damaged during installation (dropped) but was replaced without question. (Still waiting on answer to scuff marks on 2 panels) The previous doors (there when we bought the home) were torn, dented and almost fell on our vehicle. Hopefully these will withstand the test of time!

When opening the door, it shook and rattled so hard that we thought there was an earthquake in the house. We had our new Clopay Canyon Ridge® Carriage House 4-Layer garage door installed in June. We’re in heaven… What a wonderful change in our homes appearance. We couldn’t be happier. Not only do we have an attractive appearance outside of our home but the construction of this door is superior. The materials used in the construction of this door are first class not to mention the insulation value provided in this door. I am certain the garage will last a very long time and our garage will be much warmer for years to come.

Every visitor has made a positive comment about the garage upon arrival. We appreciate them for both utility and convenience. They are well insulated to keep our workshop and garage gym comfortable deep in winter. Overall we couldn't be happier with our decision.

Not only has the Clopay garage door exceed my expectation, but the number of complements from neighbors has also reinforced my decision. The installation was quick without and delays. It looks like a wood door with a mix of both metal and fabricated wood highlights. I could not have been happier with my choice.

The Clopay garage doors keep the garage 15 degrees cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. They significantly decreased the outside noise. We have had no problems at all with the doors.

"Nice doors, terrible customer service"
I had a pair of Canyon Ridge doors installed over a month ago and ordered the upgraded pewter-like hardware. Hardware was not included in the shipment. A replacement shipment arrived this week and it was the cheap looking standard hardware. The installation company had not opened and verified it. Not what I long ago paid for. This project is taking months and I regret I got involved. The company is obviously incapable of getting the correct hardware to me, so I am going to push for a refund on those and try to get another company to provide the type of hardware I ordered.

We moved from all-wood garage doors to the ultra-grain collection, and we are so happy we did. The new doors are better insulated, fit beautifully and will not need the refinishing our solid wood doors needed every couple years.

"Bad choice"
I did an 18'x8" in the walnut finish and the sun hitting it makes it bow out so much (1 1/2") that it rubs or cant open at all. Header was replace with a thinner piece and it still rubs. Thought when it got cooler it would stop but it's worst due to the larger difference in inside and outside temps. Looks great but not worth the $6000+ i paid just for the door. Called for assistance and was told deal with installer for the first year and then call us? I need to open from outside and push on door to open!!
