If you use more than one adjective to describe your home’s style, we have the perfect transitional garage door for you: Canyon Ridge Louver. Versatile and unique, plantation shutter style Canyon Ridge doors are a perfect complement to coastal cottages and craftsman homes. They can also be a standout piece on traditional exteriors or modern farmhouses.
Constructed with a durable, insulated steel core topped with horizontal faux wood composite “slats”, this low-maintenance faux wood door brought the wow factor to these four homes.

The house Sabrina M. and her family bought in 2021 is not the same home in 2023, thanks to an exterior overhaul. Her first big project was painting the brick white. From there, her focus was on the cosmetics like the columns, replacing the front entry door, and upgrading her garage doors to a solid Louver design.
She chose our Slate Ultra-Grain finish for both the garage and Rustic fiberglass entry door because the dark color contrasted nicely with the white exterior but was warm enough to blend with the roof. Her reaction to the change? “Pinch me, I must be dreaming,” she said.

Many fun and exciting choices come with building a new home. Blogger Kirstie K. had her heart set on a carriage house door for her Texas modern farmhouse until she saw the Canyon Ridge Louver design. Finished in black, it perfectly balances the color-block black and white exterior. The garage door “slats” add transitional flair to an otherwise classic design and tie in nicely with the clean lines on the front door. When she saw the door installed Kirstie said she was “OBSESSED” and “couldn’t wait to show it off to everyone.”

This 1987 Spanish style home underwent a stunning transformation with the installation of Black Canyon Ridge Louver garage doors. The owners replaced the original non-insulated steel doors that lacked style and showed off every dent.
With two doors facing the street, Timothy and his wife Laura knew they had to pick a winner because there is no hiding the garage from anyone visiting their home. They didn’t realize how much of a statement the Louver doors would make and how well they would fit their classic Southwestern house.
“I imagine these insulated Canyon Ridge doors will withstand the harsh desert sun and keep the garage cool and comfortable better than any other door we could have selected,” Tim said.
Urban Craftsman
Stained wood is a hallmark of craftsman-style homes. These urban dwellers traded in their painted carriage house door for a composite Louver door in the Walnut finish for a low-maintenance wood look that matches other details on their home.
