As part of our “What Drives Champions” video series, we sat down with Felicia Berg, area supervisor for Clopay Corporation. Felicia gives us an inside look at what drives her and her team to solve problems and uphold the high-quality standards of Clopay’s garage door products.

From the bottom to the top.

Seven years ago, Felicia Berg got a job as a temporary associate at Clopay Corporation. She was hired full-time and quickly rose in the ranks, becoming a receiving coordinator. In 2020, she earned her Bachelor’s in Operations Management. Today, Felicia is in a management role as an area supervisor.

“I have seen people feel defeated, or think that they can’t do it, or think that they’ll never be chosen,” Felicia explained. “And I’ve been able to provide that motivation and optimism to tell them that they can do whatever they put their mind to, and as a team, we can accomplish so much more together.”

Leading with big dreams.

Felicia knows what it’s like to be on the shop floor, and she understands what it’s like to have big dreams. Education and teamwork, and are strategies that she uses to drive her team forward and help them achieve their goals. Her leadership style closely aligns with the Clopay “Pride Values” of partnership, respect, integrity, dedication, and excellence, becoming a strong source of motivation for her employees.

"We are champions at what we do through perseverance," she said. For Felicia, setting goals is important because being a part of the Clopay team means being able to make a difference, through collaboration and innovation. "I am proud to be a part of an entity that manufactures a product that transforms someone’s home or business, saving energy, providing security and redesigning some of the structures that we see in the world today."
