Entry Comments:
Our home was built in 1984 and when we bought it May 2008 the original door was still on the house in a very poor condition. During Hurricane Faye in 2008 we braced the door with 2 x 4's propped against the door and the floor. We were fortunate that Faye was not a major storm or we would have lost the door and subsequently the roof to our home. The door had apparently struck several objects over time as it was 'bowed' at the top where the opener was attached. We replaced the door to give us that final protection as we had installed hurricane panels on all doors and windows last fall. We installed a clopay 16 x7 number 73 with wind impact to 140 mph. Our neighbors are jealous of the protection and also how nice the new door looks. The door was purchased from and installed by Action Automatic Door (239-768-3667).
