It's time to reveal the results of our sweepstakes winner’s Garage Door Makeover, but before we do, take a look back at the original outdated painted white wood garage doors that adorned her 1960s ranch style home.
Besides improving the look of her home, our winner, Gina, wanted her new doors to be well insulated since she has a finished basement next to the garage and a bedroom directly above it.
She faced a dilemma many homeowners do – with so many options how do you determine which garage door design will look the best on your home?
After trying on several doors using Clopay's Door Imagination System, and gathering the opinions of other Clopay Facebook fans, Gina chose Clopay’s Gallery Collection insulated steel garage in the new Walnut Ultra-Grain paint finish.
Clopay’s Ultra-Grain painted steel surface simulates the appearance of a stained door without the maintenance requirements of real wood. The grain runs in two directions, both horizontally and vertically, following the stiles and rails, for a beautiful, natural looking appearance.
A big thank you to Norwalk Overhead Door Company in Connecticut for installing the new garage doors and LiftMaster 3280 openers on Gina's home.
