Clopay® Building Products and Telephonics® Corporation Donate $10,000 to Air Force Museum Foundation
Cincinnati, OH --

Clopay Building Products and Telephonics Corporation, two subsidiaries of New-York based Griffon Corporation, have donated $10,000 to support the expansion of the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.

Located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the National Museum of the United States Air Force is the service’s national institution for preserving and presenting the Air Force story. Each year, more than 1.2 million visitors come to the Museum to learn about the mission, history, and evolving capabilities of America’s Air Force.

Construction of the museum’s fourth building is now underway. It is scheduled to open in 2015.

“Clopay Building Products and Telephonics are proud to contribute to the preservation and growth of this national treasure,” says Steve Lynch, president of Clopay Building Products. “Clopay has its manufacturing home in the Greater Dayton area. Many of our employees and their families are active military and veterans. This is one more way we can honor them for their service as well as contribute to the continued economic growth of the community.”

As a major supplier of electronic equipment, Telephonics has a long-standing partnership with the United States armed services, and its products have played an integral role in some of the military history showcased at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.

“We are extremely grateful to both companies for their support. Clopay and Telephonics donation will have a positive impact for many generations to come,” said Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Richard V. Reynolds, Chairman of the Air Force Museum Foundation’s Board of Managers.
